Our Story

C.L. Coonrod & Company is a CPA firm focused exclusively on local governmental units in Indiana. We provide assistance to our clients in the planning of their fiscal affairs and deal effectively with the regulations imposed by the State Board of Accounts, the Department of Local Government Finance, and other state agencies. Our firm finds ways to turn these regulations to your advantage and avoid unnecessary expenditure cuts and revenue losses. We also provide assistance to our clients in preparing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to be included in comprehensive annual financial reports (CAFRs).

Curtis Coonrod, CPA

CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT

Mr. Coonrod is a certified public accountant whose practice involves services to Indiana local governmental financial management. His work involves helping clients understand and deal with the regulatory framework within which local government operates in Indiana.

His clients are Indiana municipalities, counties, and townships. His work includes budgeting and planning for these entities.



Ben Roeger, CPA

CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT

Mr. Roeger’s practice involves services to local government financial management. He helps his clients better understand how they will be fiscally impacted by Indiana regulatory measures. His clients are Indiana municipalities, counties and townships.

He also stays active in government serving as the Treasurer for several political committees across the State of Indiana.



Stephanie Lilly

FISCAL ASSOCIATE

Ms. Lilly provides services to local units of Indiana government. Her clients are primarily Indiana townships, municipalities and special districts.

She collaborates with her clients to help them best deal with the both the intricacies of the state regulation of local government in Indiana and the practical carrying-out of unit policies and procedures.



Jake Calderon

OFFICE ASSOCIATE

Mr. Calderon primarily provides bookkeeping services for various organizations throughout central Indiana. Additionally, Mr. Calderon prepares federal tax returns for non-profit organizations. He also works with clients to analyze their financial statements and advises them on best business practices moving forward.

Mr. Calderon is experienced in payroll processing, payroll tax filings, hiring and onboarding, retirement plan administration, HRA administration, implementation of internal controls, federal election reporting, creation of budgetary statements, applying for federal non-profit status, correspondence with the IRS, and general accounting consultation.



Natalie Jolly

REPORT REVIEW ASSOCIATE

Ms. Jolly manages administrative projects that ensure the efficiency and functionality of the firm.

Her management duties are not limited to developing procedures and implementing and enforcing communication with the office workforce; she is also responsible for up keeping the workspace, managing and sending invoice correspondence and organizing and maintaining the office’s filing system.



Lynsey Johnson

CLIENT SERVICE CONSULTANT

Ms. Johnson manages marketing efforts that creates brand awareness  and growth for the firm.

She is responsible for the external communication with potential clients through the use  of email marketing and representation at local government events. Additionally, she works on speciality projects of the firm, such as the complication, design and filing of annual budget documents.
