New Tax Cap Impact

The cost to local government of the new "circuit breaker" tax reform is impossible to determine for certain.  It requires data that has not yet been collected.  For example, there are different caps on homestead, other residential and non-residential properties, but assessors do not presently track properties by those categories.

However, the Legislative Services Agency made estimates for each local unit, including yours.  These were used by Representatives and Senators when they voted on the bill (House Bill 1001) which passed and was signed by the Governor.
